    Meet Maryke

Psychologist by studies, consultant and coach by profession, and medicine woman by an unexpected series of life choices.

I've spent the better part of two decades exploring what makes us who we are, what holds us back, and what becomes possible when we re-member our own power.

That journey has taken me from corporate boardrooms to ancient ceremonies, from working with CEOs to spending 6 years on a tiny island in the South Pacific.

And somewhere along the way, I realised I didn't have to choose between these worlds.

Today, we bring them together in House of Becoming.

I didn't arrive here by following a plan.

Endlessly fascinated by the human consciousness and why we do the things we do, I got my degree in Pscyhology. But soon I became disillusioned with a system that seemed more interested in diagnosing what was wrong with people than understanding what was truly happening on a much deeper level.

So I took my desire to create change into corporate consulting instead, believing I could help change organisations from the inside out.

For 8 years, I worked with CEOs and leadership teams on challenges around purpose, strategy and leadership. But more and more, I struggled with the egos, politics and uncomfortable realisation that some of the people pushing hardest for change...weren't neccesarily interested in changing themselves.

My soul wanted out. But my fear pushed on.So I hustled and forced my way through, against my own inner knowing - until my body made the decision for me. She shut down completely.
Zero energy. Zero life force left.

And yet in the middle of one of my rock-bottoms,
my inner voice spoke clearer than ever:

    Not. this.

The years that followed were a ride.

What followed were years of deep inner work, exploration and rediscovery. I immersed myself in spirituality, energetics, shamanism and ancient wisdom traditions, studying with teachers, healers and shamans all around the world.

From living in Polynesia to pilgrimages across the globe, from deep initiations to working as a medicine woman: these experiences changed me in ways I never could have imagined.

Some were pure magic, others were plain hard.

But somewhere along the way, I discovered what had been missing.

Psychology had helped me understand the mind.
Consulting had taught me how to turn visions into reality.

But energetics, emotions and ancient wisdom brought me back to something neither had taught me:

How to re-member my own power,
    and CREATE from there.

    Re-member your power

Through my whole journey, here's what I've come to know for certain:

You carry far more power and creative potential than you've been taught to trust.

You know way more than you think you do.

You have something within you that deserves to see the light of day.

    It's time to create it.
